{"id":1854,"date":"2020-06-20T16:38:24","date_gmt":"2020-06-20T20:38:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gouvernance.cssspnql.com\/?p=1854"},"modified":"2020-11-12T16:39:07","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T21:39:07","slug":"update-on-the-quebec-first-nations-health-and-social-services-governance-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gouvernance.cssspnql.com\/en\/update-on-the-quebec-first-nations-health-and-social-services-governance-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Update on the Quebec First Nations health and social services governance process"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Even if the FNQLHSSC&nbsp;is continuing its work on the realization&nbsp;of the model, the current situation&nbsp;comes with&nbsp;certain constraints&nbsp;that are&nbsp;causing delays&nbsp;in&nbsp;the initial schedule.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the rapid but still uncertain evolution of the pandemic, it is difficult to determine when it will be possible to continue the work&nbsp;associated with&nbsp;the governance process in collaboration with&nbsp;the&nbsp;First Nations communities and organizations. In the meantime, the FNQLHSSC is analyzing different options for resuming&nbsp;the co-development work on&nbsp;the health and wellness governance model, including the community visits,&nbsp;as well as the next regional meeting.&nbsp;We will keep you informed of the most recent developments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An opportunity for further individual and collective reflection&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By disrupting the progress of the work that&nbsp;was&nbsp;planned for this year, the current situation&nbsp;has provided&nbsp;a break&nbsp;that can be used collectively to continue&nbsp;the reflection&nbsp;about the changes to come,&nbsp;and&nbsp;to take stock of&nbsp;all the&nbsp;progress made since the beginning of the process in 2013. Even if this break is certainly not synonymous with&nbsp;time off work&nbsp;and we all remain busy in our respective fields, why not try to take a little time to&nbsp;learn more about&nbsp;or get updated on the governance process?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that in mind, here are some interesting suggestions for reading&nbsp;material&nbsp;and tools to stay informed and prepare for&nbsp;when work resumes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Summary report&nbsp;of the&nbsp;regional meeting in January 2020&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The regional meeting&nbsp;on&nbsp;January 21 and 22, 2020, which brought together more than 100 participants,&nbsp;made it possible&nbsp;to continue the&nbsp;co-development work on&nbsp;a concrete model of effective&nbsp;health and wellness&nbsp;governance. You will find,&nbsp;among other things, the presentation&nbsp;on&nbsp;the new governance model, elements to clarify the model and the implementation of the tripartite memorandum of understanding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Toolbox&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This toolbox&nbsp;was designed at the request of the&nbsp;Health and&nbsp;Social&nbsp;Services&nbsp;Directors of the First Nations&nbsp;communities and organizations in Quebec. Its objective is to facilitate reflection, understanding of the governance process&nbsp;and&nbsp;local and collective mobilization, in addition to supporting and guiding First Nations communities and organizations in&nbsp;terms of&nbsp;communication and action in the context of change.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to practical and easy-to-use tools available in various formats and themes such as&nbsp;avenues for reflection,&nbsp;fact&nbsp;sheets, presentations, videos and tips and advice for mobilization, the toolbox&nbsp;breaks down&nbsp;the information to be shared with the different audiences and thus&nbsp;promotes a&nbsp;better local and collective understanding of the process.
